A television service delivered over IP involves more than an application interface. Content, platform behaviour, customer devices and network delivery must be considered together. For MyGroup, MyTV is a planned service, and early conversations should make the dependencies visible.
Begin with the viewing proposition
Describe the audience, intended markets and viewing experience under consideration. Separate live television, on-demand viewing and other proposed features instead of assuming that every model includes all of them. Identify content sourcing and rights questions as work to resolve with the relevant partners. A concept does not establish a right to distribute a channel or programme.
Define the platform and device boundary
List the devices being considered and the systems that would manage accounts, access and support. Ask who would own each integration and how changes would be maintained. A clear device scope makes testing more useful than a general promise to work everywhere. Keep unconfirmed features out of customer-facing descriptions.
Test the complete viewing path
ITU-T Y.1901 provides a formal reference for IPTV service requirements. In a project discussion, translate requirements into practical scenarios: starting playback, changing content, handling an interruption and recovering access. Evaluate those scenarios across the proposed platform and network conditions, with measurements and acceptance rules agreed in advance.
Prepare for operation before launch
Determine who will receive incidents, distinguish account issues from delivery issues and coordinate fixes across partners. Plan customer information and support alongside technical testing. A commercial launch decision should follow a review of the defined scope and outstanding dependencies; an attractive demonstration alone is not a completed service.
PLANNING TAKEAWAY
Treat an IPTV project as a coordinated service design, with clear content, platform, device and operational responsibilities.
MyTV is in the group’s future service roadmap and has not launched. Content packages, supported devices and launch timing have not been announced.

This guide supports early project discussions. It is general planning material, rather than a service quotation or a technical acceptance document.
